2024 CND Schools Network Meeting

A two-day meeting of the CND Schools Network was held at the Mother House on November 18 and 19, 2024. It was the first meeting in five years. There were 23 participants from nine schools in Canada, the United States, Japan, and Cameroon. The five members of the General Council also attended. The meeting was led by Cirille Nyeck, a facilitator with extensive workshop experience.

After COVID, we are entering a new era. The aim of the meeting was to lay the foundations for a new CND Schools Network by strengthening connections between schools and developing a stronger, more supportive, and autonomous network.

The meeting saw participants passionately discussing the sustainability of Marguerite Bourgeoys’s values and the strengths and weaknesses of the school network both in plenary sessions and in small groups. During the two-day meeting, the vision and strategic plan for the new school network were discussed, and a coordinating committee that would take on the leadership roles was also considered. At the end of the two days, we felt that the exchanges between the schools had deepened through this in-person meeting.
