Catholic Media Association Book Award program

June 2021 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

The Catholic Media Association congratulates all winners of the 2021 Book Award program. 

The Winner’s List for the 2021 CMA Gabriel Awards was released on Thursday June 10, 2021. 

This program recognizes the outstanding work of publishers, authors, and book editors. These books promote exceptional Catholic material to the public, and their writing support readers in their journey to live a faith-filled life. 

For the 2021 award cycle, the Book awards committee added several new categories including a Life & Dignity of a Human Person and Grief and Bereavement, The new additions helped push total entries over the 300 mark, making it the most competitive season to date. 

Book Awards winners were announced through our social media platforms and web site on June 10th. Winners receive an award certificate and ribbon to place on their book. All winning entries are listed in the association's award issue of The Catholic Journalist and are viewable on the award portal of the CMA website. Throughout 2021, winning entries receive social media spotlight through the CMA Twitter, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
