Climate, Conflict, Gender: KAIROS Canada’s Women of Courage Visit 2023

From October 2nd – 4th, the CND Motherhouse community hosted three KAIROS partners from the South and three KAIROS staff. Several sisters and associates and others came to the public event on Monday, October 2nd, to listen compassionately as the three peacebuilders from Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo shared their stories from women-led grassroots organizations.

A huge thank you to all those who attended the event and those who prayed for its success. Listening to the Global South Partners speak of their efforts to create an enabling environment for sustainable, just and equitable peace nurtured our own hope and courage. The interconnection among conflict, climate and gender inequities in Sudan and the DRC was in stark relief!
