Climate march, March 9 2021

Last Friday, Montreal was among one of the many places around the world holding a climate march. The sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame (CND) were there along with Ms. Dominik Tremblay-Perron, Head of the Social Justice Action Network of the CND.

Throughout the march, public health measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic were respected. People wore masks even if the event took place outdoors, and everyone kept a safe distance.

Several activists spoke on behalf of different causes, no doubt taking advantage of one of the few platforms offered during the pandemic. The sisters were there to support this environmental cause that affects youth more specifically because they will have to live with the long-term consequences of climate change.

In solidarity for Mother Earth.
