This Friday… a wonderful day!

It was with a truly light and joyful heart that I experienced this very meaningful day in my life. Personally, it was like a new beginning following Christ, in the footsteps of Marguerite Bourgeoys. I looked back on my journey up to now and realized how patient and wonderful the Lord is.

The joyful looks all around me, the very warm welcome from our sisters of Tchéré, and the words of welcome from the other CND sisters will remain forever engraved in my heart.

October 7, 2022, remains an unforgettable and special day for me. Simple but rich in meaning, our entry into the Postulancy was magnificent. There was a lot of emotion and joy in my heart because I experienced it as an event that truly showed that I am on the path to follow Christ in the same way as the CND sisters. To feel surrounded by my sisters in the community and by all the other people present on that day was a beautiful, touching and comforting gesture for me.

Many thanks to all my sisters and to all those who contributed to the success of this beautiful day, and who continue to pray for us. May the Lord achieve in us what he himself began.

After having admired the great mountains and fields of millet as far as the eye could see on the road that led me to Tchéré, I experienced a remarkable entry into the Postulancy, accompanied by cries of joy and hugs. The friendliness and zest for life allowed me to experience the gentleness of Christ in each person present around me. On that day, the questions that I carried within myself evaporated, and I enjoyed the magnificent celebration for which the sisters spared no effort.

It is with a heart full of joy and a peaceful mind that I embark on this journey.

The entry into the Postulancy remains an unforgettable event in my life, with all its components. The warm welcome and beautiful work the sisters did for us that day captured my admiration. The retreat that preceded the celebration allowed me to rebuild a special relationship with God. I thank him for this wonderful day and ask him to precede each of us on our journey.

More generally, we were four young people on October 7, 2022, to take the very first step as postulants in the Congrégation de Notre-Dame. With our sisters in the community and friends of the Congregation in Tchéré, we experienced very beautiful moments.

First, an important retreat led by Sr. Jeannette Daidouwe allowed us to stay focused on Jesus and to receive enlightenment for this new stage.

Then, a simple, but so very deep celebration, during which we each received a medal of Marguerite Bourgeoys. A Eucharistic celebration gave us the opportunity to give thanks to God and to entrust him with the continuation of our formation.

Finally, dance steps to the sound of drums, ululations and music made up our evening.

We received messages of welcome from our older sisters of the Congregation. We felt warmly welcomed into the CND, and our desire to belong to this religious family was strengthened.

We are counting on the grace of the Lord to take more steps on this path started by Marguerite Bourgeoys.

Thank you to each one, and may God bless you!
