Gift Given And Gift Received

"They wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger".

I think of how many gifts I wrapped and unwrapped.
How did I choose the gift and how did I wrap it?
From whom did I receive gifts?
God sent us a gift, wrapped in swaddling clothes
and laying in a manger.
How do I unwrap this gift forever given in my life?
Each day is another day to sing with the choir of angels
"Joy to the world the Lord has come.
Let earth receive her King. "
Do I unwrap the gifts of joy, peace. and love which I have received?
With whom do I share these gifts freely given to me?
Chances are there is someone just waiting to receive my gifts.
Can I look beyond the wrappings of the gifts of others?
Not all are beautifully wrapped, but something valuable is inside.
There is a gift in me and in others that desperately needs
to be unwrapped and shared: The gift of love.
This gift of love allows me to see the value

of those around me .and in myself.
"Beyond all things put on and wrap yourself in love which is the perfect
bond of unity" ( Colossians 3:14)
With generous love I offer the best of who I am and what I have
for the benefits of one another.

I see what love has given to me:
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that God even
gave His only begotten Son" (John 3: 16)

What return do I give to God and all creation for gifts I have received?

“LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU.”
