Guide Me In The Way Of Peace

"For all those who are being led by the Spirit

A COMPASS: AN INDICATOR  A GUIDE  AN INSTRUMENT TO SHOW
THE WAY, TO HELP ME NAVIGATE UNFAMILIAR PATHS.

Using the compass of my heart
I face the cold white blanket of the North
Do I trust and hope to see new life waiting beneath
the frozen, barren land?
I gaze towards the warmth and light of the South
Am I asking  for guidance to plant seeds that will bear fruit?
My eyes turn to the sprawling wheat fields of the West
I hear the wind whisper across the land
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few" (Matt 9:37)
How often do I pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers?
The roaring waves of the ocean beckons me to the East.
At the shore an inner voice directs me "Row out farther,
into the deep water, and let down your net for a catch. (Luke 5:4)
Are there times when I hesitate, risk going deeper?
"Today, if you hear God's voice do not harden your  heart" (Hebrews 3:15)
I am moved, opening my heart to hear God's voice:
"Whether you turn to the right or the left (north or south)
your ears will hear a voice behind you saying: 
               THIS IS THE WAY; FOLLOW ME   ( Isaiah 30:21)
What is stirring within me as I hear these words?
