JPIC Core Committee Meeting

The JPIC Committee met on Zoom Monday, February 10, 2025. Members shared information from related groups and committees: ORCIE, Development & Peace, KAIROS and CRC. A discussion of debt forgiveness, a critical issue during the Jubilee 2025, was a major focus for us.

But!! The financial system that forces poorer nations to pay a debt has not changed. Today, nearly half the world’s population is living in countries that are forced to spend more on repaying debts than on health, education or tackling the

climate crisis.

Let’s do it again!! Let’s join Jubilee 2025, the global ecumenical initiative that builds on the transformative success of Jubilee 2000!
