“Zoom and See”
The Vocation committee is offering a retreat experience over three months (May, June and July). Each segment of the retreat will be 2 ½ hours long and will use Pope Francis’ theme for Vocation Sunday: St. Joseph, the Dream, Service and Fidelity. The intended audience is that of young adults. The retreats will be offered in English at this time with plans for another series in French. The first portion of the retreat was held on May 16 and the second is scheduled for June 13.
JPIC (Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation) Update
JPIC continues to support the Visitation Province commitment of Going to the Peripheries, consciously focusing on reconciliation with Indigenous peoples of Canada.
- A group of over 25 sisters and associates is following the Indigenous Canada course along with the weekly reflection sessions as part of the Virtual Learning Studio.
- Sisters and associates are joining other churches and religious communities in raising awareness and advocating for the smooth adoption of Bill C-15 in the Senate.
- The committee is preparing for fall learning experiences through the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, various webinars and speaker events as well as engagement in the Jesuit Forum Guide for Listening to Indigenous Voices.
In addition, we are continuing with our commitment to the Blue Community and Caring for Our Common Home.
