Movie recommendation: The Miracle Club

The Miracle Club is a movie set in a small place in Ireland, a village in which several ladies have a deep and sincere wish to make a pilgrimage to Lourdes in France. Each one is in search of a miracle, and their faith is strong enough that they risk displeasing their husbands to make the trip happen when the opportunity is presented. Relationships are tested; being together leads to forgiveness and resolution of old hurts. Maggie Smith is superb, as always, and Kathy Bates is not to be missed. The scenery is very lovely and attention to detail in the various homes we see adds to the feeling we are experiencing real families with real stories.
