Moving on…
Cranbrook, BC, Associates met face to face for the first time since February 2020. As we gathered, we shared the news of the last 18 months – the first grandchild, the loss of a loved one, the joy of returning to in-person Mass as well as the gratitude that we are all still here. We are all older, greyer but hopefully wiser and more loving, caring, and grateful for the small things because of our experience of COVID.
This coming year, the focus of our meetings will be on living out Laudato Si’ as Associates in the spirit of Marguerite. True to our Congregation de Notre-Dame roots, we will cooperatively and collaboratively plan and share the work of facilitating our monthly meetings. Using the CCCB (Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops) study guide for Laudato Si’ and with resources provided by the Congregation de Notre-Dame community via our Regional Coordinator Teresa McKerral, we hope to learn more about protecting our world and how each of us can concretely be active participants in this important initiative. Our desire to learn more about how our First Nations brothers and sisters can help us better understand caring for the earth will be part of our new learning and our efforts towards fostering Truth and Reconciliation.
We ask that you continue to hold us in prayer as we undertake this journey with fierce hope and a joy-filled heart!
