My Visitation Journey
My Visitation journey involves looking, listening, and welcoming – a true encounter with God and with others.
Mary and Elizabeth experienced a transformative encounter overflowing with joy. Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys captured the beauty of their gaze, listening to each other, welcoming each other in their mystery.
On my Visitation journey, I go about my daily life in prayer and meeting others, looking kindly on the people I meet on the street, in church, at our Faith and Light group meetings, and also during my weekly visit to Manoir Salaberry residence. I pray with this group and bring them communion.
Each person is important, and needs to be looked at, recognized, welcomed, and loved as a unique being, with recognition of their personal gifts. These are truly transformative encounters.
I marvel at the light of the risen Jesus in the eyes of the people I meet. In turn, with small steps, small gestures, they move forward, opening themselves up to others and expressing the paschal joy.
It is with gratitude and great joy that I thank God for his Presence on my Visitation journey. Magnificat!
