Kingston Gathering to Learn about the August Forum in Montreal
On Sunday, November 17th, CND sisters and associates gathered in St. Joseph Church Hall to hear about the Forum on Decolonization which took place in Montreal in August 2024. Sister Eileen McQuaid and Mary, associate, had both attended this special event and used a PowerPoint slide presentation prepared by West Associate Coordinator, Teresa.
Lively discussion and conversation followed with the question posed to all, “Who is the other to me?” The social time following the sharing was a gift and we are grateful to Teresa for sharing her talent.

Blanket Exercise in Kingston
CND sisters, associates and members of St. Joseph Church CWL attended the KAIROS Blanket Exercises on November 19th at St. Joseph Church Hall.
The Blanket Exercises are being arranged by the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Committee throughout Visitation Province. We were pleased to have Sr. Karen Kelly of the Leadership team join us.
The KAIROS Blanket Exercise team from Ottawa was comprised of Julie and Isabelle who were both passionate to build understanding about our shared history of as Indigenous and non- Indigenous peoples in Canada.
The participants were moved by the education, awareness and especially by the unknown historical facts about the European settlers and admiration of the tenacity of the Indigenous peoples. We are grateful for Julie and Isabelle’s leadership, guidance, and support with this enlightening experience.
