New Life, New Name!
Many Sisters and Associates are familiar with St. Joseph’s Convent and Renewal Centre in Mabou, Nova Scotia. Last week, Nova Scotia Premier, Iain Rankin, announced a huge investment by the Province of Nova Scotia to make the former convent a satellite campus of the Gaelic College. The building will become Mabou Hill College, or Beinn Mhabu. Following extensive renovations, the college expects to be ready for students in 2022; credit course recognition will be from Cape Breton University. Beinn Mhabu will offer a Foundation Year Program with course options to include Gaelic culture and history, executive certificates in music and ethnomusicology and more. It will house North America’s first Gaelic Medium School, and a Gaelic-based internet radio station. “Mabou Hill College will be an invaluable addition to the cultural infrastructure of Nova Scotia.” says Suzanne Lohness-Crogt, Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Restrictions still holds but our community was able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. It is so good to almost be together… But we are missing so many of our companions who have journeyed on in this past year. Many thanks to one and all for your ongoing prayer, support and encouragement.

ANDREWS OF CHARLOTTETOWN: "WHERE IRISH EYES (and others as well) WERE SMILING": St. Patrick's Day was not to be forgotten at Andrews with green decorations and greetings well displayed in anticipation of the feast. On the day itself, we enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day Buffet at noon and a St. Patrick's Concert in the afternoon. We, CNDS, finished the day together with Irish music and refreshments in the evening. The day was enjoyed by all, even those who were just "IRISH FOR THE DAY"! A beautiful Shamrock Plant and card also found its way to us!

Sacred people sacred earth action day a huge success!
Over 400 actions in 45 countries, 250 high-ranking religious leaders lined up in support, over 125 Religious organizations – with membership of more than 100 million people. Watch a beautiful video collage of actions taken for sacred people sacred earth last week on March 11.

Good Friday for the Earth – 14 meditations for the earth and the poor organized by Green Churches.
I will be narrating the English event on Thursday, March 25 from 1:00 –2:00 pm. This presentation will be on Zoom webinar and registration is mandatory. I have seen the text and it is a very moving collection of scripture passages and contemporary reflections put together with beautiful images. Prisms: Reflections on This Journey We Call Life by James Hollis who is a Jungian analyst in Washington. It's a collection of his recent writings drawing on his 80 years of lived experiences and many years of being a therapist drawing on many sources, particularly poetry. Chapters include "Reframing our Sense of Self" during this pandemic time, comedy, healing the healer, imagination, aging and other topics.
