October Birthdays Celebration

On Saturday, Oct. 8, the Congregation de Notre-Dame community at Providence Mother House gathered to celebrate the recent birthdays of Sister Elaine O’Grady and Sister Rosemarie Kennedy. This was a milestone birthday for Rosemarie, as she celebrated 90 years young!

At the same time, we recognized and thanked Sister Marijke Gerretsen for her generous service among us as Assistant Coordinator to Sister Pat Arsenault. Sr. Marijke will leave Kingston for Montreal next week to take up her new ministry on the General Council. The Sisters received practical little gifts according to their needs and desires.

Following the presentation of gifts and a special blessing for Sr. Marijke, everyone enjoyed a delicious ice cream cake.
