Official Visit of the Leadership Team to Blessed Sacrament Province
On October 14th, we left the summer house and went to Farmington where four sisters live. We shared and spent a relaxing time eating a delicious lunch prepared by the sisters. We then went to Bridgeport, and enjoyed the beautiful autumn leaves along the way. The sisters who live in this area shared with us the activities they are doing while having dinner together.
October 15th began with a breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. with the board members at Children’s Community School. This school is run by an NPO and has a strong connection with the CND sisters. The music teacher is a second generation Japanese-American who studied at Margarita Kindergarten in Chofu for a year. We were guided by three students and visited each class. At lunch, we had a gathering with the associates.
In the afternoon, we visited Our Lady of Mt Carmel School where Pat McCarthy works.
We had dinner with the sisters who live at Holy Cross House and enjoyed chatting with them.
