Official visit to the Notre-Dame-des-Apôtres Region_16-17 NGAOUNDÉRÉ

Welcomed by song and dance, the members of the General Council had the pleasure of sharing with the associates of Ngaoundéré. This group meets on the first Friday of every month. While the associates were meeting, we were welcomed into a family to discuss our shared experiences. It was fascinating and inspiring to see how the associates of Ngaoundéré live this aspect of the Congregation’s spirituality. Another wonderful group that lives and shares our mission.

What a beautiful meeting we had with the novitiate community this Saturday morning! Simply, like siblings, we took the time to share our joys, concerns and hopes for the mission and for the Life of the World.

A unique first Sunday of Advent in Ngaoundéré! We attended a beautiful Eucharistic celebration, during which we witnessed the processions of different groups from the Notre-Dame-des-Apôtres Cathedral parish, who came with donations for the 2023 harvest festival in thanks for God’s blessings in their lives and their families’ lives. The General Council of the CND was then introduced to the community.

Once home, we changed into work clothes to prepare a meal to share with the associates, the parish priests, Sister Nicole and a few young people, including the Sisters of the Community of Nazareth. What a great Sunday we had!

We will be back on the train in a few hours – it will take us between 15 and 20 hours to reach Yaoundé.
