Visitation

The gospel that inspires me to live the spirituality of the visitation in my daily live is that of Saint Luke; 1; 26-45. “The angel went to her and said, greetings you are highly favored! The Lord is with you”, “at the time, Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, entered Zachariah’s home and greeted Elisabeth”.

In line with the gospel of Saint Luke, I will personally define Visitation as an act of receiving or welcoming people who come to me, and in return, move toward others. In other words, making myself an instrument of visitation.

In my daily life I do allow myself to be visited joyfully and then welcome the message brought to me like Mary who was able to welcome the message from the angel in order to transmit the important message to others. In that visitation, I visit God in others and also allow others to visit God in me. In my encounters with others, I can sense the God of love, joy and peace. It’s marvelous to see how God is manifesting Himself through us, but also through others in our daily visitations.

In all, I live the mystery of visitation each day, in every encounter I have with others around me.
