Where Do I Go?

"I don't have any silver or gold for you.

But I'll give you what I have.  In the name

of Jesus Christ the Nazarene,  get up and walk.

(Acts 3:6)

My immediate reaction when I cut myself
is to look for a bandage.
The bandage does not heal the wound
it only covers it up.
Any cut is painful, takes time to heal
and may leave a scar.
Maria Shriver writes in the Sunday Paper:
"So many of us are in pain.  We are in pain from
things we rarely talk about.  We are in pain from
experiences we don't even have the courage
to share.  We are in pain over issues close at home,
as well as those we are witnessing in a world away"
Where or to whom do I turn to in my pain?
"Lord, there is no one else we can go to!
Your words give eternal life" (John 6:68)
What are the healing words that I need to
hear from Jesus at this time?
How do I reach out to touch the one I know
can heal me?
"And the people all tried to touch him,
because power was coming from him
and healing them  (Luke 6:19)
Do I believe I too have the power of healing?
I am interconnected with all peoples and nations.
The pain and suffering of all is my pain.
I take a moment to think of someone I know
who needs healing.  How might I help?
How can I ease their pain and mine as

I journey with them?
Michael Jackson sings:  “If you care enough
for living. Make a little space.  Make a better place
Heal the world.  Make a better place"
"Healing (for ourselves and others) takes courage
and we all have courage, even If we have to dig
a little to find it" (Tom Amos)…in brackets mine

LORD MY GOD, I CALLED TO YOU FOR HELP,
AND YOU HEALED ME  (Psalm 30:2)
