WYDs: Here We Go!

While Sister Sophie, Sister Libby and Sister Susan met at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport in Montreal, Sister Christa, in the United States, was preparing to board her flight, and Sister Motoko had a stopover in Dubai.

We arrived in Lisbon this morning (July 31), at around 9:30 a.m. despite the delay caused by yesterday’s storm in Montreal. As it was early to check in at the hotel, the three of us, from Canada, went to collect the ten kits for the CND members who registered for this global Church event. When we returned to the hotel, our sisters Idalia and Sofía, who had arrived during the night, were up, and together we welcomed Sisters Christa and Motoko. Dominique Sabas, CND, had come by earlier to drop off all the beautiful panels on Marguerite Bourgeoys and the Congregation in our vocations stand (with other sweet treats too, thank you, Dominique!)

We went to the City of Joy to pick up the keys to our CND vocations stand and got it ready. All seven of us CND sisters went to discover the area: the metro, train and bus that we will take every morning during this week. Frankly, we got lost at times, but together, it was pleasant, with patience and humour, and ultimately rather joyful!

We came back after a quick dinner… and quite tired.
